Patrick Bowen, Dr. Li and Prof. Drelich attended meeting in San Antonio. Patrick presented a paper entitled “In Vivo Corrosion Progression of Bioabsorbable Magnesium for Stents Using a Rodent Model” during the Magnesium-Based Biodegradable Implants Symposium that was very well received. Prof. Drelich chaired one of the sessions for this symposium. As the result, they established new contacts with researchers in US, Canada, Germany and Brazil. They were also invited to the Biomaterials Committee meeting and participated in discussion on future biomaterials-related meetings.
Prof. Drelich also co-chaired symposium on Energy Technologies and Carbon Dioxide Management, chaired the Energy Committee meeting as well as attended the Characterization Committee, Pyrometallurgy Committee and EPD Council meetings.
